Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Based on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the wild west in an excellent game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the croupier, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, new players do not have to be concerned about any other, more advanced gamblers taking their mulla.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the fairly leisurely game play, novices will be able to take their time and plan while not having to make hasty decisions.

It’s also easier to wager on for a very long time with only a little bit of cash after all, to not win, each of your hands must be under both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the house is dealt seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be better than the houses.
